The Origin of The Sopranos® Family Crest

* The Sopranos family may now call northern New Jersey home, however, their ancestral roots can be traced back to the province of Avellino in the Compania region of Italy. While the Sopranos' Italian ancestors were not of royal blood, some of their American descendents, including "Johnny Boy" Corrado, Jr., and Tony, created a "monarchy", a royalty of their own sort, in which they ruled. The Sopranos Family Crest says everything about The Sopranos lifestyle. Like many family crests in the province of Avellino, it features a crown above the shield, perhaps predicting the line of power that the family would ultimately inherit. The shield is clearly separated into two distinct parts, a detail which may have a different personal significance for each generation.
